Resources in Dakota County

 

Matrix Resource Center

This program provides support to those who are experiencing homelessness and need access to computers, phones, printers, social workers, addiction support, veteran services, pet care, laundry, showers, haircuts, and much more. The hours are Mon-Fri 9:00 AM to 5:00PM. It is located in Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 W County Road 42, Apple Valley.

Dakota Housing Resource Line - (651) 554-5751

The Dakota County Housing Team helps people avoid housing crisis and homelessness. You can work with the Dakota County Housing Resource Line to help find and understand available resources.

Dakota Woodlands

Shelter for families and adult women.  Access through the Housing Resource Line (651) 554-5751. There is currently a waitlist.

Homeless Street Outreach - Ally Outreach Services (612) 875-9683.

Ally’s Outreach team should be contacted when someone is experiencing homelessness and is unsheltered (outside, vehicles, transit station, etc.).  Ally is contracted by Dakota County to provide homeless outreach services.  They provide a variety of services to people who are unsheltered such as survival gear, housing counseling, connection to financial benefits, mental health support, etc. 

The Link - Youth households - 24 years and under

Youth experiencing homelessness can be connected to The Link by calling the Housing Resource Line (651) 554-5751 and selecting the youth option. Youth can also stop by without appointment at the C.O.R.E. drop in center Mon-Fri 2pm-5pm at Grace Lutheran Church, 7800 W County Road 42, Apple Valley (please call the Link to confirm).
